Life is Sweeter...

Life is SWEETER when shared with friends! What a great sentiment! It's one of my favorites. I have just fallen in love with these adorable Mimi images from Penny Black. They are so cute and I love all the new images that have come out for Spring featuring Mimi. This card was made using the Flowers for Mimi stamp. Aren't those little birds so sweet? I wanted to use my Stella Rose patterned paper again to create a darling little paper pieced dress for Mimi. I used the same paper for the background along with another pretty pink floral piece. I colored Mimi and her little bird friends using Copic Markers and added the grass using Prismacolor Pencils. I hope you like today's little fun Saturday card and I'll be back again on Monday to share some Stampendous Fun.

Thanks for visiting and Have a Sweet Weekend!

Stampendous Sketch Challenge - STMC4!!!

Happy Saturday!!! So happy to share with you my sketch for the Stampendous Saturday Sketch Challenge! I love Fluffles. He is just too cute and since it's Spring I used the Snail Fluffles stamp. Seriously, could that little snail get any cuter? I added the thinking of you sentiment from the Friendly Messages set as well. Sketches are so fun and are my favorite challenges because you can use your favorite stamps and papers. I love paper! So for this Snail Fluffles card I used My Mind's Eye (Quite Contrary) papers. I colored in the Snail Fluffles image with Copic Markers and sponged in the grass and sky with ink. I added some sparkle to the flowers with some amazing Multi-Fine Crystal Glitter. Hope you like the sketch! Ready to play along for your chance to win a wonderful prize from Stampendous? STMC1 - Happy Birthday or Bust!

Hola Amigas! It's Saturday and I am ready to party! Time to celebrate the first ever Stampendous Sketch Challenge! Well, our fearless sketch leader Cyndi has gathered us together to start us off with the first sketch. You can get the full details at the Stampendous blog, but here are some of the sketch highlights: there will be 2 prize winners chosen (one for best use of Stampendous products and one by random), you have until April 15th at midnight PDT to upload your card (please use STMC1 when uploading to Splitcoast Stampers, Paper Craft Plant or any other online gallery) and you will need to post a link to your card in the comments section on the Stampendous blog post. Prizes are always fun! Let's start the fun with Fluffles. I am celebrating a special occasion today - My Big Bro's Burfday!!! He is so cute and cuddly. Just like Fluffles! So I decided to use one of my all time favorite Stampendous stamps - Floating Fluffles. I paper pieced Fluffles' party hat and balloon with some cute My Mind's Eye patterned paper. I used some other pieces from the same paper collection for the corner circles and background layer. So matchy, matchy! Since my sentiment is with my main image I added some rustic buttons to tie in with the rest of the sketch. I would love to see you all play along with us! You don't have to use Stampendous products, but if you got them we would love to see how you use them! Have a Stampendous Day! I'm off to help to celebrate my brother's birthday!

Thanks for visiting!

TESC86 - Let it Snow!

Hola Amigas! I have been working a lot on cards lately and wanted to stop for a bit to post this card for the current Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge. I love Taylor's Sketches and this one was another great one. I wanted to use one of my favorite Christmas sets Home Sweet Home. Yes, because it contains a Gingerbread house of course but also because I am partial to the Snowman Cuppie. I just love him. He just looks so cute in that top hat. I also wanted to use more of that adorable Colorful Christmas line by My Mind's Eye. Can you tell I am wishing for winter? Ok, so it won't snow in Orange County, but I can dream. I will be taking a visit this winter to the snow, so I am very excited for that trip. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and thanks for visiting!

Rachel's Recipe:

Paper: White CS & Dark Chocolate CS (PTI), Patterned Paper (My Mind's Eye & Bo Bunny)
