Gingerbread Sighting #2

Happy December! I can't believe it's here, but I am excited! Lots and lots of gingerbread will be found! I became addicted to digital scrapbooking about 9 months ago and just love it! I especially love making hybrid projects. My favorite digital designer is Nancy Kubo and I just love all her cute and cheery designs. I was hoping she would come out with gingerbread graphics for Christmas and did she deliver! First she came out with the cutest graphics and then followed it up with the sweetest little tags using the same graphics. I had to get them both. Huge Fan! Be sure to check out her blog too. Be back soon with some more gingerbread goodies!

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It seems like this year has just flown by and now Christmas is upon us. I loved driving around last night with my husband and seeing so many Christmas lights up. I saw some really beautiful houses and I could just feel the spirit of the holidays. I wanted to share a couple of photos of a recent bag & tag swap I did this month. I am sorry I have not been able to post very much, as many of my swaps were due this month. I am finally down to one last swap due in mid December. I can't believe it, but I am relieved as I need to get my Christmas Cards done this week. Have a wonderful day and I will be posting more in December.

Gingerbread Sighting!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the incredible Gingerbread line Martha Stewart has out at Michaels. All of the items are so cute! Here's a picture of some of the items I bought. I want it ALL! You know if you don't get it now, it won't be there later. I have learned this lesson too many times, so I had to pick up the key items. The Gingerbread stamp set and Gingerbread border punch were must have items. I also fell in love with the new dot scallop punch. I will be making some swap bags with this set, so I will be back tomorrow to show you what I came with using these items. As you know, Christmas is rapidly approaching so I will be doing several of these Gingerbread Sightings for all my fellow Gingerbread lovers. Let me know if you have any sightings of your own. I would love to hear from you.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!! It's a happy one indeed! I am so excited to share with you that I was selected me to be the very first Friday Friend over at the SASI Blog. Can you believe it, me? I couldn't believe it when I read the email. I was going crazy! I am HUGE fan of Stamp and Sweet Impression stamps and Taylor of course, so it was a huge honor for me to be chosen. Be sure to go over the SASI Blog to read my little interview with Taylor, which is why I have posted these photos. My sweet mommy dug up this pictures for me last night. Thanks Mommy! I was about 3 years old when she made me this fabulous costume. I just love it! Especially the stinger! Check out the kid next to me as Shaggy! I could not stop laughing at that last night. Loved the goatee! The bottom photos are some shots of my stinger. Kids kept asking my mom if it was a carrot. LOL! I am of course also diving into the huge candy basket my Grandpa had out. This was before portion control. Well I hope you all have a safe and Happy Halloween!!!!!

p.s. Be sure to visit Taylored Expressions to check out all the wonderful holiday Stamp a Sweet Impression stamps!

Trick or Sweet

Where did the weekend go? It was a whirlwind weekend for me, but I did manage to finish my Halloween goodies. I took a chocolate making class earlier in the week and made lots of fun treats. I just knew I had to use my Stamp a Sweet Impression Stamps for the packaging. The handle bag on the left has 2 purposes. I used Jen del Muro's sketch for the layout and it's a goodie bag for a friend. The Halloween pail is a little gift of some of the chocolate treats I made in class. Since the pail was already a cute Halloween polka dot pattern I just added some ribbon and a tag to embellish. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and I will be back later to post more photos from my chocolate making class .

Sweet Holiday Wishes!

Happy Saturday! This week has just been dragging for me. So I was so excited to wake up this morning and have some fun time! Here's a photo of one of this year's Christmas cards. I just love Amuse stamps, so I was so excited when I came across this adorable gingerbread guy. He is too cute! I also had my eye on the twin cupcakes and sweet holiday wishes stamps for awhile. I am also happy to get back to blogging. I was having some issues posting and it was taking me way to long to arrange my photos, so I sought some professional advice"wink". I would like to send a huge thank you to Taylor for her wonderful blogger advice. This post has been a breeze and I am so delighted. Be sure to check out her new stamp stamp release @ Taylored Expressions. I of course had to purchase the Christmas - Want It All! Check back later this weekend for my Halloween cards and projects showcasing Stamp a Sweet Impression Stamps.

Swap Frenzy!

Ok, I don't know what I have gotten myself into! One day I decide to jump into everything all at once. I started the blog, started posting on SCS and doing swaps. Now, I really do love stamping but often find myself hoarding stuff more than using it. My biggest weakness is patterned paper, but that's another story. Ok, so I went a little overboard on the swap commitments but I love them. It's so exciting to get that envelope in the mail. It's such a nice surprise after a long day at work. So here are some pics from my latest swaps. Enjoy! I will post the recipes a little later, just wanted to get the pics up like I promised.

It's official! I am finally able to upload again. My sweet hubby hooked me up with RoadRunner DSL last night, so I could get back to posting. Now that the former DSL nightmare is over, I can get this blog rolling. I will be posting my SCS swap cards later on tonight, so be sure to check back.

Happy Saturday! Well today is a day of firsts for me. I am finally able to post my first card on my blog and in my SCS Gallery. I have also joined in on some SCS swaps for the first time as well. It's a big day for me, as I am feeling quite shy about it. I will have to overcome that, but I hope you all enjoy my first card. The theme of course had to be gingerbread! I made this invitation for a cookie exchange that I hope to have in the future. I will try my best to leave as much detail as possible for each project, but if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Have a wonderful day!
