OCCC Thank You!

Hello! I thought I would play along with another sketch. This time I chose the OCC Sketch Challenge. It's my first time playing. I wanted to add glitter to bring out the stamped flowers more, so I decided to dust off my dazzling diamonds glitter. I used a quickie glue pen to dot the glue on the lines of the flower. I really like how it sparkles. Hope you do too.
Have a great night!
:) Rachel

This is one of my favorite stamps, however I have only used it twice. I really liked this SFYTT challenge. I think I will be using it again soon. I hope you like the card and thanks for looking.

TECC57 Happy Birthday!

Happy Friday! Here's my card for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge #57. I have had this Penny Black stamp for awhile and really wanted to use it. So as I was coloring I realized that Taylor's Tiny Twinkles would be perfect for the flower center. I really love the sparkle. I also got to use my new dotted scallop edge punch. It punches out this petite border. So dainty! Hope you like it and have a wonderful weekend!

Pack a Punch!

Ok, don't hate me because I am enabling you. I had to post these punches I found at my lunchtime trip to Michael's. They had several different designs, but I got the ones I knew I would use most often. They even had holiday ones too ( bat and snowflake). I was like. "What no ICICLE punch!". Grrrrr! LOL! I guess I will have to keep praying it comes out again this Christmas. Check out these punches ~ they store flat by using a sliding lock on the bottom of the punch. Just slide over the lock and you're in business! Booya! These are going to be a lot easier to store. Ok now that I have you drooling ~ did you see in the first pic that they had regular punches too. I got the scallop corners and they had lots of other ones this size too. I literally went ... AHHHHHHHHH! when I saw the display. So come on are you still reading this post? Get out there and get some punches! Oh and don't forget your 40% off coups.

Good Morning! How was your weekend? I am still trying to recover from VSN, as you can tell I picked up the wrong Bo Bunny green. :( I didn't even realize it until after it was assembled on the yellow. I didn't have time to re-do it before the 8am deadline. So please imagine it's a beautiful olive color. LOL! I think it gives it character :) Well as you can see I have found a new love ~ American Crafts Craft Fair Paper! I picked these up at Scrapbook Expo last weekend. So when I saw Taylor's Cupcake Challenge on Friday I knew exactly what paper I was going to use. Don't you just love this Trendy Trees set too? So Sweet! Thank you for visiting and I will post the pics and recipes from VSN tonight. Have a great day!

SC216/DDC Hola Senorita!

Hola Chicas! I feel in love with this card created by jdmommy over at SCS. The image was so adorable and Anne did such a great job with both challenges. I just knew I wanted to play along too. This sketch challenge was tough for me. Ummm... note to self "Do not stamp when you are sleepy!". Playing with the image part was very cool (courtesy of the Doubledog Dare Challenge). It was my first time using a digital image for a stamp. I was worried about coloring on it with my Copics, but it was fine. I also tried to make fans for the background by crimping the paper. I would of liked to add a sentiment on the bottom, but I could not find my Spanish sentiments. Hmmm ... still don't know where those are at. I'd show you a picture of my stamp room, but I don't want to scare you. LOL! Hope you are having an amazing day and hope you get a chance to play along. Thanks for visiting!

Rachel's Recipe:
Stamps: Girls of the World (Doubledog Dare Challenge)
Ink: Certainly Celery (SU!) and Copic Markers
Paper: White CS (PTI) and Patterned Paper (Bella Rose - SU!)
Accessories: Pearls (Kaiser), Marvy Scallop Punch, Circle Nesties, Adhesive Ribbon (K&Co.), Prima Flowers and Dimensionals.

Verve Valentine!

Oh, can you believe this is one of my very first Verve sets? I purchased a couple sets a few weeks ago and I am finally using them. I love the fonts they use on their sets and this one was too cute to pass up. I am sending this Valentine out to a special friend. My sweet friend & stamping buddy, Lisa, moved out to San Jose about over a year ago for work. I miss her terribly and wish she was still here in So. Cal. I hope she likes this card along with all the mushy stuff I wrote too.
Have a wonderful day and see you on Valentine's Day for a special treat! Thanks for visiting :)

Good Evening! Back again with my second post today. Just barely! My hubby and I went out to the movies and dinner tonight. I almost forgot to post @ PTI again for the challenge. Hello Friend!

Good Morning! I was up late last night working on challenges for today. There are so many and so little time. It's really pouring down right now, so it's perfect for my little stamping marathon. This card is for the SC214 challenge over at SCS. I love sketch challenges. They are my favorite! I am hoping to post them all up this weekend. Ok, I'll be back later with another post :)

Check it out: a bonus card! LOL! I had some pieces left over, so I decided to put together a little 4-1/4" square card. Oh, double click on the images to get a close up of the Pixie Dust Shimmerz. That stuff rocks! I ordered mine from Jacksonbelle Embellishments and it got here so fast. I have to get the Coffee one for my gingerbreads.

Over the Rainbow

Good Evening! My card is just barely squeaking in before the deadline for the PTI Over the Rainbow Challenge. I got caught up in Kung Fu Panda and almost forgot to post this before midnight. I hope you all got a chance to play along too. It's a nice rainy night and a perfect night to stamp. I also got a chance to play with my new Shimmerz paints. I wanted this card to have a nice shimmer without taking away from the elegance. The Shimmerz paints worked perfectly. I painted the flowers and butterflies and it added just the perfect touch. I added a close up so you could see the pretty shimmer (oooo ... ahhhhh).

Rachel's Recipe:
Stamps: With Sympathy and Heart Prints Sentiments (PTI)
Ink: Pure Poppy & Ripe Avocado ( PTI) and Summer Sun (SU!)
Paper: Pure Poppy, Ripe Avocado & White CS(PTI) and Summer Sun & Baja Breeze CS (SU!)

I just got this cute pinata stamp from Amuse, so I decided to play along with their something new challenge. I really enjoyed making these cards because they were simple and fast to make. Ok everyone it's time to bust out your Terrible Towels for today's game! We are from California, but we are huge Steelers fans at my house. Here's me below at Three Rivers for Monday Night Football! I had the Steelers head band, scrunchie y todo. This is one of my favorite vacations with my husband. We went to the Football Hall of Fame 3 times that trip too.
