Elzybells Challenge 42

Hello! Are you ready for another Elzybells Challenge? This week's challenge was tricky for me. The challenge is to use only Kraft paper. I LOVE Kraft, but to use only Kraft was a true challenge. I had to break out the colored pencils for this one. I knew this cute cow from the S-moo-ches set would be perfect. I started off by cutting out a scalloped circle from Kraft paper and stamped the cow in the center. I added the sentiment by curving it underneath the cow. I then colored the cow with my colored pencils. I cut the 4-1/4" square card base and stamped hearts to create the background. I added some white dots in for highlights. I used some of my fav Bo Bunny double dot ribbon and added a large Pink Lemonade Button. Fun card to make and I can't wait to give it to my udderly adorable friend. Do you love Kraft paper? Well be sure to show us your krafty creations in the forum where you can also get all the details on playing along with us.

TESC110 - Feliz Cumpleanos!!!

Hola Chicas!!! It's Friday and I am all about the bright colors today. This week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge was a perfect one to bring back my favorite A Muse stamp of all time. This Pinata stamp is awesome. You can color him any which way and he always looks cute. I kept him to six colors and rotated them for each image. My Feliz Cumpleanos stamp was too large for the sketch, so I used this cute Stampendous Happy Birthday sentiment. Are you loving Taylor's sketch or what? So come on and join us!!!

That's Krafty Thursday!!!

Hi Friends! I can't tell you how excited I am to play along with my sweet friend Jeanie's, That's Krafty Thursday Challenge. She has been doing this challenge herself for awhile now and I always look forward to seeing her TKT creations each week. Well this time we are all invited to play along! Woo Hoo! Isn't that wonderful? To play along you just have to use Kraft paper somewhere on your card! So easy because Kraft paper is fabulous!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Kraft paper! I hope you can all play along and show Jeanie some love by supporting her challenge. I had a blast creating this card. I can't wait to see all your Krafty creations!

For my card I used that adorable MB Bear Girl stamp by A Muse. Isn't she sweet? I also can't tear myself away from the Farm Fresh patterned paper by October Afternoon. So cute!!! It's a miracle I haven't been hoarding more of it. LOL! The Happy Birthday sentiment is also by A Muse. Just a nice little 4-1/4" square birthday card to give to my sweet friend. Hope you all have a fantastic day and I will see you tomorrow for the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge.

TESC109 - Wishing you SUNSHINE!

Hola! It's Friday!!! The best day of the week. Let's get on with the Friday Fun! For this week's Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge I used this adorable OCL set called Sunshine Cheer. What better wish could there be than to wish someone sunshine? The sun in this set really caught my eye because it was just too cute. I played with the patterned paper to get it to match the sketch. I used another part of the paper to cut out 3 clouds and pop them up to represent the circles in the sketch. I then colored and cut out that cute sun for the main image. I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of green polka dot paper which I mounted on some embossed white cardstock. I added some pretty pink polka dot ribbon and glitter to finish off the card. I just know you will want to play along with us! I can't wait to see what you create and Taylor is always looking for her Top Crops for each sketch challenge. So come join the fun!

Elzybells Challenge 41

Hello Friends! It's time for another fabulous Elzybells Challenge! Challenge 41 is to make a single layer card. I just knew I wanted to use the beautiful Floral Fervour set to create a clean and simple card for Mother's Day. I stamped the flowers with Pink Lemonade Pigment Ink. The color is such a pretty pink. I also added some sparkle with some yellow Stickles in the center of each flower. I stamped the sentiment from the Fervour Sentiments set in Chocolate Brownie Pigment Ink. I then added a loopy bow and topped it with a pretty Pink Lemonade button. So easy! Single layer cards are fun and great for mass producing. We would love to see what you can create with just a single layer. So visit the forum for all the challenge details and to play along.

STMC1 - Happy Birthday or Bust!

Hola Amigas! It's Saturday and I am ready to party! Time to celebrate the first ever Stampendous Sketch Challenge! Well, our fearless sketch leader Cyndi has gathered us together to start us off with the first sketch. You can get the full details at the Stampendous blog, but here are some of the sketch highlights: there will be 2 prize winners chosen (one for best use of Stampendous products and one by random), you have until April 15th at midnight PDT to upload your card (please use STMC1 when uploading to Splitcoast Stampers, Paper Craft Plant or any other online gallery) and you will need to post a link to your card in the comments section on the Stampendous blog post. Prizes are always fun! Let's start the fun with Fluffles. I am celebrating a special occasion today - My Big Bro's Burfday!!! He is so cute and cuddly. Just like Fluffles! So I decided to use one of my all time favorite Stampendous stamps - Floating Fluffles. I paper pieced Fluffles' party hat and balloon with some cute My Mind's Eye patterned paper. I used some other pieces from the same paper collection for the corner circles and background layer. So matchy, matchy! Since my sentiment is with my main image I added some rustic buttons to tie in with the rest of the sketch. I would love to see you all play along with us! You don't have to use Stampendous products, but if you got them we would love to see how you use them! Have a Stampendous Day! I'm off to help to celebrate my brother's birthday!

Thanks for visiting!

TESC108 - Let your heart bloom!

Hi All! IT'S FRIDAY!!!! YAY! Let's get the weekend started with another fun sketch challenge from Taylored Expressions. For TESC108 I wanted to challenge myself to use colors that I don't use often. This pretty patterned paper from We R Memory Keepers was perfect for that. The pretty Poppies were also a perfect match with the Elzybells Floral Fervour & Fervour Sentiments sets. I really love orange Poppies, since I am a California gal. So I wanted to make them stand out. I first stamped one onto cream cardstock, then I stamped and cut out two more and popped them up with foam tape. I added some Cinnamon Stickles to the centers for some sparkle. Hope you like it! We would love to see you play along this week. Taylored Expressions also had an amazing New Release this week too, so you are gonna want to check out the store.

CCM - Mother's Day!

Hi Friends! I am honored to tell you I have asked to be a Guest Designer for Chi Chi Memories. Although it officially starts in May I just couldn't wait to show you some of Natalie's adorable images. This adorable digital singe stamp image is called Hug. I really wanted to showcase the image, so I sized it down to make a 4.25" x 4.25" square card. It looks so cute in the petite size, but it also looks fabulous in a large size. I think this image would be wonderful for kids to color and give as a gift for Mother's Day. Just perfect for teachers looking for crafty mother's day ideas for their students. I used some more Quite Contrary patterned paper with it's beautiful pinks. The little girl just had to be wearing pink. She is too cute! I know you wanna see more cute stuff, so be sure to visit the Chi Chi Memories Store. The cuteness awaits!

Elzybells Sneak Peeks - The Birds & The Bees Day 1

Hello! Welcome to Day 1 of the Elzybells Sneak Peeks for The Birds & The Bees. These images are really sweet and a delight to color. I need to step away from the Farm Fresh patterned paper, but it matched the sweet little flowers in the image so perfectly. I just had to use it again. The main image is the adorable new image called Garden Gossip. I can't get over how cute it is. I also added the sweet new sentiment called Make life fun. I matted the main image and a strip of patterned paper with some delightful Colour Co-ordinates Chocolate Brownie textured cardstock. Really lovely cardstock and I love the rich shade of brown. The Colour Co-ordinates line also comes with matching inks & buttons to make your projects really come together nicely. I hope you enjoyed today's Sneak Peak and please join me tomorrow for Day 2.

Hoppy Easter!

Hola Peeps! Hoppy Easter! I thought I would just hop on by and post a special little Hoppy Birthday card with some of my fav A Muse stamps. I am back in challenge mode, so I am playing along with AMC15 in the A Muse Lounge and also another entry for the Moxie Fab Picking Up the Pieces Challenge. I actually was just picking up the pieces of my boiled potatoes for the potato salad I am making for today's Easter feast. I can never judge when it's cooked too much. I do the fork poking stuff but it just seems like it is never cooked enough, so they end up practically exploding in the pot. So I had some casualties and the others were off to the freezer for a quick cool down. Still waiting ... so I thought I should at least finish my post before I head out to see my family. Hope you all have a blessed Easter!!!!

Looky ... I went cut it up ka-razy on this. LOL! I cut out the bunny and paper pieced her dress. I cut out the polka dot frame and then paper pieced the center. Lots o' Fun!

See ya tomorrow for Elzybells Sneak Peeks!

Thanks for visiting!!!
