Happy Father's Day!

Hello! I love the weekends! This one is a great one as we celebrate our dads. Here's the card I made for my Daddy. He really loves the cards I make and he was especially fond of one I made him for Father's Day a few years ago. He kept it on the fireplace mantle forever. That made me so happy. I wanted to make him this special card using Fishing Riley. He is an amazing fisherman and took my family on many camping & fishing trips. I really loved those trips and fishing with him. He was pretty patient, as I was a chatty little girl. You don't want to scare away the fish. Ok and my long hair did get caught in the reel once. LOL!I LOVE you Daddy! Don't forget that today is the last day for submissions for the Hanna Stamps Guest DT Call. Go here for all the details. Hope you have a fabulous day and thanks for visiting! :) Rach

Happy Friday! Wow! I can't tell you how thrilled I was when I received an email earlier this week from Taylor. I knew exactly which cupcake stamps I wanted to use. SASI of course! So here is a card using my all time favorite Cuppie. Love that tongue! Please be sure to stop by Taylor's blog to see her wonderful cupcake creations. Tomorrow is the Taylored Expressions Farewell Party, so if you live in the So. Riley catchin' some waves!

Hola! I am back with another summer post! This card is for my submission for the Hanna Stamps Guest DT Call. I love Riley! I had to use Surfer Riley to get me out of this June Gloom Can you believe it is still gloomy here is So Cal? Will it ever end? Rileys are so fun and I knew he could brighten up any day! I used some new Bo Bunny papers, so Riley could catch some serious waves. I paper pieced his trunks with striped Bo Bunny paper. I added Glossy Accents to his surf board, so it would look freshly waxed. I also added Stardust Stickles to make the waves "sparkle". If you are interested in becoming a Guest Designer for Hanna Stamps, be sure to go here for all the deets. Wishing you sunshine! Thanks for visting!

Scribble This Challenge #2 - Levels

Shades may be required for this post! Wow! My card on the right was enhanced in Photoshop Elements using Lisa Spangler's tips. Her card photos always "pop" and I love the look she always achieves. This card is the follow up to her first Scribble this challenge - white balance. In this new challenge we are learning all about levels. Lisa's tutorials are awesome, so be sure to check them out and play along if you can! I was honestly amazed on how much brighter my card turned out. I like the "poppin' fresh" look. Am I Lisa Jr.? No, but I can dream can't I? LOL! Can't wait to learn more from her. Check out my previous post of this card in which I enhanced the brightness/contrast in Photoshop. You can still see a big difference using levels for more control. Hope you are have a fabulous weekend and I am off to score me some killer hotdogs @ Chronis. It's all about the Hoffy"s!

ScribbleThis Challenge #1 - White Color Balance

Hello! How's it going? I have been admiring Lisa Spangler's beautiful creations for awhile now and was thrilled when she decided to have challenges. She does incredible work and her photographs are AMAZING! The challenge is to create a card that has lots of white in it and then take photos using the different white balance settings on your camera. I took a photo of each setting, so you could see the difference. I also did not edit any of the photos in Photoshop. I pretty much make my cards at night, so the photos were all taken using my lightbox. So what do you think? Let me know which setting you think looks the best.
