Hitting the Books with CCB!

Hola Chicas! It's Sunday! It was beautiful out today in Southern California. Yesterday was a different story. It was so gloomy and humid. It rained a little on Friday too. It reminded me so much of October I broke out my Halloween stamps. The current Amuse Challenge #5 is called "Hitting the Books". You are to create a card based on a book and since I wanted to make 2 cards I went with 3x3 ones. The first one is based on The Devil Wears Prada. Meryl Streep had white hair in the movie, so I decided not to color in her hair. The second card is based on the book Wicked. I loved the play too! Ok, honestly I only saw the movie and the play but hey they were originally books. LOL! The Wicked card is also for the Creatively Cute Bloggers Challenge #7. The challenge required you to basically stamp direct to paper with no more than 2 embellishments. This card was so easy to make. Well chicas I hope you had a wonderful weekend and I will see you soon with a little pic of my Saturday adventure. Gotta finish my card before I post it. Thanks for visiting!
:) Rachel

CCB01 / SC218 Berry Best Birthday!

Hola! Is everyone having a berry nice day? Here is my card for CCB's very first challenge. Woo Hoo! Thanks Molly for being a fabulous hostess! The challenge was to make a card about yourself. I chose to make a card using things that I love. I LOVE Strawberry Shortcake (the original)! I was thrilled to receive her on Christmas morning back in the 80's. I would not stop smelling her hair. I also received a couple of her friends and you know it the Strawberry house. I was a total nut that morning. I am still a nut over her. I look real professional at work with my huge Strawberry Shortcake calendar in my cubicle. I really wish I still had my original doll. My mom probably convinced me to donate it, so some nice little girl could enjoy it. What was I thinking? LOL! I hope she went to a nice home. I also used some of my other favorites. Bo Bunny and Polka Dots! I know you are probably sick of that paper by now. But they have way too many colors with polka dots. Killer combo! I also used my favorite Cuttlebug embossing folder and lots of brads. I used the SCS sketch callenge #218 to put it all together. Hope I met the challenge to let you know a little bit about me. Thanks for visiting and Have a Berry Nice Day!
