TE Cupcake Challenge #52

Suuuup! It's Saturday! Don't ya just love Saturdays? I would like to share the card I made for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge. You should of been here as I was running around like mad trying to finish this before 8pm. LOL! I really wanted to do all nine. I think I will do them and post them later. I had them all planned out and just didn't have the time to stamp them out. Is the longest part of making your cards the planning? It is for me, because the time spent on actually making the card seems to just fly. Maybe because that is the best part! Hope you all have a fabulous day and thanks for visiting me!

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Copic Markers
Paper: White & Black CS (PTI) and Patterned Paper (Bo Bunny)

Kristina's Color Inspiration Challenge #39

Howdy! I am back with another Challenge first. This time I am playing along with Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge for the first time. Can you believe it? I have been following her blog for so long and finally started playing. I was super lucky to get to meet Kristina at the SU! Convention last year. It was a thrill to get to meet her in person and take our picture together. Ok I got a little too excited and had to ask her to
retake our photo together. I looked horrible in
the first one. Luckily she did not call out "Security!". LOL! She is not only talented, but so sweet too. Have a wonderful Friday! TGIF!

Rachel's Recipe:
Stamps: Eastern Blooms and All Holidays (SU!)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and So Saffron & Real Red Markers
Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White and Patterned Paper (Bo Bunny)

Light Box Test

Hello! Today I am trying to test out my new light box by taking a pic of this double pouch bag I made sometime last year. I used my light box with the white backdrop provided on the last 2 photos posted, but I didn't like the look of the background. I hit Michael's yesterday and picked up a white foam poster board to use inside the box instead. I really like the results, however I did still have to enhance the photo a little in Photoshop Elements. I couldn't be happier with my new toys (Lightbox & Photoshop Elements 7). Thanks Mom, Dad and Big Bro for these amazing Christmas gifts. Love ya! Now I am off to start on some sketch challenge cards. See ya soon!

BFF!

Hey all! It's seems like forever since I have posted anything. December was so busy and I am happy to be back into the swing of things. I made this card for my first Mojo Monday Challenge. I am so excited to finally be able to get back to stamping. I really enjoy the stamping challenges, so I will definitely be setting aside more time to participate more this year. I really love these sweet Cuppie images from Stamp a Sweet Impression. I hope my BFF Pilar really loves this card. She was so sweet and surprised me with 2 cupcake yard stakes for Valentine's Day. They are super cute and I wanted to make her a special card to go along with her Valentine goodies. We have been best friends for almost 20 years. Wow! I had to do a recount! Time flies when you are having fun! She is always so generous and my card giving idol. She loves to send cards, but (you may have to sit down for this one) she doesn't like to make cards (GASP!). However she loves handmade cards and also must own stock in Hallmark. She is on point in sending out cards. You give her a gift and literally the next day you receive a Thank you card in the mail. She must send it out the day you give it to her. She is just amazing! Catch ya later!

Gingerbread Sighting #2

Happy December! I can't believe it's here, but I am excited! Lots and lots of gingerbread will be found! I became addicted to digital scrapbooking about 9 months ago and just love it! I especially love making hybrid projects. My favorite digital designer is Nancy Kubo and I just love all her cute and cheery designs. I was hoping she would come out with gingerbread graphics for Christmas and did she deliver! First she came out with the cutest graphics and then followed it up with the sweetest little tags using the same graphics. I had to get them both. Huge Fan! Be sure to check out her blog too. Be back soon with some more gingerbread goodies!

Happy Holidays!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It seems like this year has just flown by and now Christmas is upon us. I loved driving around last night with my husband and seeing so many Christmas lights up. I saw some really beautiful houses and I could just feel the spirit of the holidays. I wanted to share a couple of photos of a recent bag & tag swap I did this month. I am sorry I have not been able to post very much, as many of my swaps were due this month. I am finally down to one last swap due in mid December. I can't believe it, but I am relieved as I need to get my Christmas Cards done this week. Have a wonderful day and I will be posting more in December.

Gingerbread Sighting!

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the incredible Gingerbread line Martha Stewart has out at Michaels. All of the items are so cute! Here's a picture of some of the items I bought. I want it ALL! You know if you don't get it now, it won't be there later. I have learned this lesson too many times, so I had to pick up the key items. The Gingerbread stamp set and Gingerbread border punch were must have items. I also fell in love with the new dot scallop punch. I will be making some swap bags with this set, so I will be back tomorrow to show you what I came with using these items. As you know, Christmas is rapidly approaching so I will be doing several of these Gingerbread Sightings for all my fellow Gingerbread lovers. Let me know if you have any sightings of your own. I would love to hear from you.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!! It's a happy one indeed! I am so excited to share with you that I was selected me to be the very first Friday Friend over at the SASI Blog. Can you believe it, me? I couldn't believe it when I read the email. I was going crazy! I am HUGE fan of Stamp and Sweet Impression stamps and Taylor of course, so it was a huge honor for me to be chosen. Be sure to go over the SASI Blog to read my little interview with Taylor, which is why I have posted these photos. My sweet mommy dug up this pictures for me last night. Thanks Mommy! I was about 3 years old when she made me this fabulous costume. I just love it! Especially the stinger! Check out the kid next to me as Shaggy! I could not stop laughing at that last night. Loved the goatee! The bottom photos are some shots of my stinger. Kids kept asking my mom if it was a carrot. LOL! I am of course also diving into the huge candy basket my Grandpa had out. This was before portion control. Well I hope you all have a safe and Happy Halloween!!!!!

p.s. Be sure to visit Taylored Expressions to check out all the wonderful holiday Stamp a Sweet Impression stamps!

Trick or Sweet

Where did the weekend go? It was a whirlwind weekend for me, but I did manage to finish my Halloween goodies. I took a chocolate making class earlier in the week and made lots of fun treats. I just knew I had to use my Stamp a Sweet Impression Stamps for the packaging. The handle bag on the left has 2 purposes. I used Jen del Muro's sketch for the layout and it's a goodie bag for a friend. The Halloween pail is a little gift of some of the chocolate treats I made in class. Since the pail was already a cute Halloween polka dot pattern I just added some ribbon and a tag to embellish. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and I will be back later to post more photos from my chocolate making class .
